Overview
Drawers is a browser extension designed to help you organize bookmarks, links, and resources. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.
Data Collection & Storage
What We Store
Your Drawers: All drawer names, card titles, links, and descriptions you create are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's Storage API.
Settings: Your preferences, including onboarding completion status and selected use cases.
Engagement Timestamps: Local timestamps of when you use the extension (used only to determine when to show donation popup).
Where Your Data Lives
Local Storage: All data is stored in your browser's local storage.
Chrome Sync (Optional): If you're signed into Chrome with sync enabled, your drawers may sync across your devices via Chrome's built-in sync service. This is controlled by your Chrome settings, not by us.
No External Servers: We do not store your data on any external servers or databases.
External Resources
This extension loads the following external resources:
Google Fonts: We load the Montserrat font from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com) for visual styling. This request may send your IP address to Google.
Donation Images: When the donation popup is displayed, a QR code image is loaded from Imgur (i.imgur.com). This request may send your IP address to Imgur.
These external resources are used solely for functionality and visual presentation. No personal data or browsing history is sent to these services.
Permissions Explained
The extension requests the following permissions:
Storage: To save your drawers and settings locally in your browser.
Tabs: To access the current tab's URL and title when you add a bookmark, and to enable the "Gather All Tabs" feature.
Scripting: To extract metadata (page title and description) from web pages when you add them to your drawers.
Side Panel: To display the extension interface in Chrome's side panel.
Host Permissions (http://*/* and https://*/*): Required to extract metadata from any website you choose to bookmark.
What We DON'T Do

Your Control
You have complete control over your data:
Export: You can export all your drawers at any time using the download feature.
Delete: You can delete individual cards, drawers, or reset all data from within the extension.
Uninstall: Uninstalling the extension will remove all locally stored data.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
